Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 April 2026
These terms cover your use of Rollout, the cycling ride-sharing app at rollout.bike and on the App Store. By using Rollout you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Who we are
Rollout is operated by Alastair Reid, based in the United Kingdom. Contact: hello@rollout.bike.
What Rollout is, and what it isn't
Rollout helps cyclists find and join group rides organised by other users. We're a platform — we don't organise the rides ourselves, vet the people on them, check anyone's cycling ability, or guarantee that any ride will happen as described.
You are responsible for your own safety. Cycling has inherent risks. Riding with strangers adds more. Use your judgement: check the route, gauge whether the pace and group suit you, wear a helmet, follow the highway code, carry what you need. If something feels off, don't go.
Rollout is not liable for injury, loss, theft, or anything else that happens on or around a ride. Your insurance, your responsibility.
Your account
You must be at least 16 to use Rollout. You're responsible for keeping your login secure. If you think your account's been compromised, email hello@rollout.bike.
One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone else, don't create accounts on behalf of others without permission, don't share your account.
Acceptable use
Don't use Rollout to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post anything illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit
- Spam, scam, or sell things to other users without permission
- Organise rides with the intent to deceive, lure, or harm anyone
- Scrape, copy, or systematically collect data about other users
- Try to break, hack, or reverse-engineer the app
If you breach these terms, we may suspend or delete your account without warning. Repeat or serious breaches may result in a permanent ban and, where appropriate, a report to the relevant authorities.
Content you post
You own what you post — your profile, your ride descriptions, your messages. By posting it, you give us permission to display it within the app and to other users for as long as it's there. You can delete your content (and your account) at any time.
Don't post content you don't have the right to share.
Other users
Rollout connects you with other cyclists, but we don't vouch for them. Treat people you meet through Rollout the way you'd treat any stranger from the internet — with friendly caution. Meet in public places, share ride details with someone you trust before heading out, trust your instincts.
If another user behaves badly, report them in the app or email hello@rollout.bike. We take reports seriously.
The app might break
Rollout is provided as-is. We try to keep it working but we don't promise it always will. We might:
- Take it offline for maintenance
- Change features
- Discontinue it entirely (we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data if so)
No app is 100% reliable. Don't rely on Rollout for anything where reliability is critical to your safety — for example, don't assume a notification will arrive in time, or that a ride won't be cancelled.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Rollout is not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
- Anything that happens during or as a result of a ride
- Loss of data, profits, or opportunities
- Anything caused by other users
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for things that can't legally be limited (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we'll let you know in the app or by email. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account, or by emailing hello@rollout.bike. We may delete or suspend your account if you breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.
